All the work being done must equal the cost of a 180, if not less!

why remap tho? without a turbo (petrol or diesel) you don't gain sod all from a remap 3-8bhp? £££'s for that? better off buying top set of tyres and having grip, then an extra 2.987BHP...
or
prove me wrong

I would only say you need a remap after some more extensive head work even mild cams you can getaway with not having a remap, do what you want to do 1st then get it done as if you start changing things it will effect the running of the map.
You've gotta think how may road cars get head gasket work done and never get mapped after the work... Because it's not needed.

i would disagree with spike only because mine needed a remap over time it started to run lean and got worse the longer i left it so go by how the car is running rather than the list of nods

Mine is probably the 1.6 8v you have seen on YouTube on the Red Dot dyno, and it was subsequently put back on a different RR (I think about 6 months later) and given a different figure of 101BHP with no further modifications (except for different Alloys).

'103' before the remap (with GSR and 4" backbox) and '110' after.
