Last weekend i had a bit of a dukes of hazzard event off a hump back bridge. I have replaced the 2 front seatbelts but the airbag light won't go out. I took it to the garage today to get the airbag ecu reset, but it wouldn't wipe the code from the memory. Has anyone got any ideas how or what to do to to get the light off. Its my dads car i i'd prefer if he didn't find out. Its a 2006 206 SW verve

You need special equipment to erase the crash data, most garages wont be able to do it.

The guy in the garage tried 2 different machines and both read the code but failed to delete it. Looks like need to go to the dealer. He mentioned something about a crash sensor. Any ideas where that is ? Would it e possable to disconnect the airbag ecu and still be able to drive or would the light still be on anyway ? Sounds expensive going to peugeot

Peugeot won't do it, they don't do eeprom work! They'll just replace the ECU
Cheapest resolution would be to buy a second hand ECU with no crash data sorted!

Banzai_Baby is going to learn an expensive lesson. Less Banzai with dad's car and more treating it like a baby needed.
