I had a problem with the rear axle and trailing arm bearings so I took it off the car to strip it down.

I got the arms off and found the machined axle end was badly worn but with a good friend we found new axle ends and so removed the offending item and waited for the new parts to arrive. Here now, today.

I forgot to check something before we stipped the axle. So as I'd like to lower the car by 40mm. can anyone tell me with the axle on a bench laying on the 4 mounting points, what height should the centre of the stub axle on the trailing arm should be from the bench?

Also where can I get some new uprated axle mounting bushes from for putting it back on the car?
