Hi all,

Since I bought my 206, the airconditioning doesn't produce cold air. I already had the system refill but after that it still doesn't produce cold air. I don't hear the pump kick in.

Anyone some ideas? Fuses, relays?

I`m assuming you have the A/C Switch on and set to cold.....

The `pump` WONT kick in if there is no gas in the system anyway.

Your best bet is to take it to a proper Aircon specialist , they can put some gas in it , make sure the `pump` is coming on and they put a leak tracing dye in it.

9 times out of 10, it has a leak and using their UV torch they will tell you exactly which bit needs replacing

don't bother taking it to `kwik fit up` or similar places....
because they will just gas it up for 50 quid and an hour or two later it will be just warm air

Had it filled at my work (work at a Peugeot dealer) right after that, it still wasn't cold.

Still, thanks for your reply.

Did they pressure test it? If you have a small leak it will loose pressure very quickly.
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

I just had the A/C system on my 2005 180 serviced as well as vacuum and pressure tested - both fine. There was only 20g out of 700g of refrigerant left in the system - hence it wasn't cooling at all.

Now it's been refilled, it seems to work for a short period of time before becoming ineffective again. I'm a bit worried that it has been empty for some time and still being used which may have damaged the compressor.

I've only driven it with the A/C on for 30mins or so, maybe it just needs a bit longer for the oil etc to spread round the system. Some say to even leave it running on hot air to evaporate any condensation in the system but I'm dubious of this...

Any experience of similar problems would be most welcome Smile
