Basically, I have a T Reg 206, no central locking, just the key in a small plastic case which holds the chip inside, I cracked the old key case, so I ordered another new one from a dealer that was having a clear out, Got it for £3, now, here is the thing, I Cannot open the thing to swap my key over, Its exactly the same as my old key, and that opens with no problem, but it is 11 years old and has been opened before, so, how the hell do I open this new key?

Did the new key come with a blank blade? If so, just take it to Timpsons and they will cut it for free.
