How do you remove rear speakers (5-Door)

They appear to be riveted in place. Just wondered how to remove them, I need to replace them as they're all sounding awful now. Also while I'm here, anyone know the dimensions of the front door speakers. I checked all the ICE section, and couldn't find anything to help. Cheers.

Rears - drill the rivets out if there riveted in. As for fronts, look harder next time. www.206info.co.uk/Foru.../t=65.html

You have to drill out the rivets and then secure the new speaker with some clips. Most new speakers will come with the clips/securing screws to achieve this.

When I got my rear comps they came with some bolts to hold in place in the rear, just had to drill a slightly bigger hole than what was already there, comps all around best choice ever made!

those rivets are made of tin.. easy to drill out drilling new holes for new speakers will eat 1-2 drill bits

You mean poor quality drill bits OR operator error with the drill Wink
