Appologies if this has been answered somewhere already, if it has please direct me to the answer...

I need to connect to a wire (Day time lights) which is made live when the Ignition is switched on...

i have searched the loom on the far right of the engine compartment with no luck.. every wire i Tested was not a live one
not that i have tried all of them, there are far to many to put little holes in Smile

(yes i could link in to the light loom, but this would mean switching the lights on, which i dont want to do)

if you have a pic to help me out i would be grateful

thanks in advance

ergh! i wouldnt be suprised if you blew a fuse! or worse, fried your ECU. this is not the way you should go about testing wires....

You would be better of wiring them in to the double relay under the engine ecu.

If you used a relay you could have it so when the headlamps are switched on the DRL's are then switched off.

wire it through the engine bay fuse box.

so live wire from the battery, relay in between and then switch via the fise box (ignition)
