Hello, can anyone tell me if the crank position sensor on Peugeots is on the top of the gearbox connected to a brown plug with gold contacts like this one? i1093.photobucket.com/...118b06.jpg Cheers

Thanks mr bsi. A wiring diagram I found for my engine calls this an engine rpm sensor is this the same thing? Cheers

Yes, it sense's the teeth on the flywheel & uses the info to work out how fast the engine is turning.

Engine ecu wont be able to see the engine is turning so it wont inject any fuel or fire the spark plugs
