Hello hope someone can help the problem I now have. with my gti 180 is the steering rack but not sure !!! problem I have is if I let go of steering wheel it will pull left or right also when I turn out of a junction to right or left I hear a knocking noise and a rattling noise aswell when I brake it will also pull me left or right wich aint good so was just wondering if anybody had any ideas before I go to garage and end up paying to much. Any help would be great cheers.

Are you sure its not the ESP system cutting in?

Dont think so with all the knocking noises I hear but not sure to be honest.

Wishbones?
I can remember when mine was playing-up that the whole front end felt uncontrollable.
Wishbones are about £50 each or so, from memory.

Yep my bet is on wishbones, and the knocking could be worn top mounts.
