Hi all, it looks like my rubber bushes at the top of my rear shocks are really worn, can you just change the bushes or do I need new shocks. The shocks are fine otherwise, no leaks etc thx

Suppose you could get new ones pressed in. Although for the price of doing that, you may aswell buy new shocks.

Think your'e right, didn't realise they were pretty cheap and look relatively easy to replace. Are there any recomendations on which ones to buy

Is your rear lowered? Standard? Everyday driver? Track car?

A second hand set of GTi shocks then.
Won't change the rear hardness then.
Try LeeThr or Harry. Both have current GTi's in.

By the time the bushes have worn you can be certain the shocks are knakered, even if they look OK.
Good news actually because you will get a great improvement once the new ones are fitted.
