Hey guys

My 206 SW has now developed a couple of faults and hopefully someone on here can help me solve the problems/point me in the right direction.

Car starts and runs fine apart from the speedo/abs/airbag/handbrake light

When i first pull away, after start up, I get braking fault on the MFD, the red STOP lights up, then about 10 seconds later i get ABS fault showing, the speedo gets to about 25 MPH, then i get Airbag fault, then the speedo drops to 0 and stays there till i stop the car, then the whole thing happens again next time i start it.

I have checked the fault codes, and it is saying that both front abs sensors and left rear are goosed (permanent faults, something to do with signal coherence) would this cause all the other faults (speedo, airbag, handbrake)

Any help is gratefully received

Thanks
Michael

Sorry forgot to add it's a 53 plate 206 sw 2 litre hdi

Curse you Airbag light!!

That would most certain cause the faults you describe, but never heard of three going at once!

IIRC someone mentioned a few weeks ago that on some models the speedo gets its feed from the ABS, so that could be the problem.

The handbrake fault could be low fluid level in the reservoir or dodgy switch at the handbrake lever.

You would need to find out what the airbag fault is with PP2000 to see what the actual fault is. Possibly com2000 but that's just guessing.

3 ABS sensors going down at once, Id check the ABS connector plug on the ABS ecu on the hydraulic modulator first.

Fix the ABS fault & it should cure the braking fault & sort the speedo out.

As for the airbag fault scan it with Peugeot Planet.

Toyota C-HR GR Sport 2.0 Hybrid with JBL & Alcantara packs.

Thanks for all the help, but i can now declare the problem solved...it was indeed all 4 sensors had gone....driving through some serious floods obviosly disagreed with them...I can also confirm, on my car at least the speedo works off of the front drivers ABS sensor..

Can admin move this to solved section please Smile
