i have a problem with my peugeot 206 ,1.1 ,,,,,, i can leave the engine running and no engine warning light comes on ,,, i drive the car for 5 mins and the engine light flashes on and off and the car just cuts out ,,,, any ideas anybody

Get the codes read and see what's stored or pending. Without the codes being read it's just a guess what could be wrong.

Mine did something similiar to this and cleaning the idle control valve seemed to get most of the problem cleared up.

The only other thing with mine was a faulty coil pack that failed 3 weeks later but once that was replaced the problem cleared right up.
