I got a quote back from pug1off for turboing my v6

"Hi Paul,

This would be completely custom work, you’d have to expect to spend in excess of 10,000 for a half decent job. Supercharging may be a bit cheaper 6-7000 maybe. Then you need to think about the diff as this will be custom too.

Best regards,

Matt"

So I'm not going to do that anytime soon

There is a 400 bhp one in circulation from Devil developments

No info on the car though, but my mate works there here and there and told me about it & I did see a picture.

There will be a few about that aren't on forums.

Only found out about some nos powered ones before because they ended up on ebay lol.

For that money I'd be investigating the 1.6 turbo 207 GTi/Cooper S engine. Plenty of potential in those...although I think they use BMWs Valvetronic system rather than a proper throttle butterfly and all that might be difficult to hookup to a standalone ECU.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

Name rings a bell, Devil Developments,

Rear mounted turbo apparently, 350 bhp & it's a 180.

That's what I was told, my mates Glanza goes there & he does a few other bits for mates, one works there on a weekend basis I think.

They could be just pulling my c**k, like I really give a s**t though lol there was a KMF 206 in a RR pic only the rear end and they said about it.

What a load of utter b******s. The DT loves to alter its timing daily along with piston ring failure on the DS side of the market.

The engine is shockingly bad

Isn't there uprated parts avalible for the timing now ? Mines been fine so far touch wood, can't comment on the piston ring failure issue with the ds .

Never heard of any common engine complaints in the Minis...

Wasn't there a recall for something causing engine fires?
