was running ok until it was left to idle for about 20 mins with the fuel light

now runs like a sack of s**t

Miss firing, no codes stored and no eml light etc I presumed it was because it had been ran with hardly any fuel, fresh fuel in still runs like s**te

Im know it's most probably due to lack of fuel it's sucked some crap into the injectors etc

But just incase there's anything else it could be then thought I'd ask I know the coil packs were a common fault

First thing I would do is find out which cylinder is missing, easy way to do this is let the engine go cold, remove exhaust manifold heat shield, pour some water onto each of the manifold branches and then start the car up. Then watch the water on the manifold to see on which cylinder it doesnt evaporate as quickly as the others. That's the cylinder its missing on. Then try swapping a spark plug over to rule that out, if the misfire follows the plug, its a dodgey plug. If it doesn't then do the same for an injector.

if you left it running on the red light for 20minutes its probably had some s**t in the bottom of your tank thats been sucked up id guess that you have a clogged fuel injector
