Hi Folks,

Firstly, apologies if i've posted this in the wrong place - i'm new to this forum!

My sister has had a 206 1.1 Zest Manual for the last 6 months - with no problems, thankfully!

However, yesterday I had a call off her saying that she couldn't get 1st or 2nd gear. 3rd, 4th, 5th and Rev were all ok. My initial thought was to check the linkages - but they all appear fine - they move in the fashion that you would expect. I disconnected the long linkage from the selector on the box. When i 'engage' 1st and 2nd gear using the selector on the top of the box it 'clunks' as it should do but does not engage a gear.

Is there something I am missing or do you think that there is an internal problem with the selector in the box?
