No chance of it working.

Non plexed 206 keyfobs are no longer supplied by the manufacturer, you might find some new - old stock somewhere gathering dust if you look hard enough.

Toyota C-HR GR Sport 2.0 Hybrid with JBL & Alcantara packs.

Is there any way I can get a new original central locking key for my car then? It has the funky shaped one with only one button showing through the case.

Can you not get chinese copies or something then?

I just got a quote, £25 to get the code, £72 for programming and either £28 for a standard key or £100 for a remote key.

I have read that preplexed 'plip' keys (like that of the 106) can be programmed via some complex system of turning on the ignition and pressing the buttons. By this reckoning I would assume that preplexed keys (or atleast the remote key part of it) could be reused. It mentioned lights flashing and my key does have an LED.

When taking pictures of the inside of my key, I left the battery out for quite a while, when I plugged it in the light flashed and would not control the central locking, so I turned the ignition on and pressed the button which got it working, implying that it had lost connection but needed reprogramming.

I know you need the 4 digit code to do the immobiliser but that will not be a problem. I can also sort the cutting of the key, it is just the remote that is a problem.

If you could shed some light on this I would be grateful.
Pete
