wanting to do a coolant flush BUT i cant see the coolant level through my tank! are they ment to be transparent? because all the ones i see seem to be white? (non transparent)
this is the one i have
car is a 2ltr hdi
also where the hell is the valve to drain the old coolant? its not on the radiator like on my old 206?

I think someone ages ago tried to get a custom one made but was going to cost over £100.
My suggestion is to unclip the bottom hose off the rad flush the rad out with water then find out how much liquid should be in your cooling system, make up the desired strength,then fill it up and and you should have the right amount, if you have a touch if you shine it on the side of the tank at night you can JUST about see the water level it's a s**t design i know.

Are people really that sodding lazy that cant be bothered to undo the cap & have a look at the level inside the bottle

Yes they are.
Just shine a torch into the reservoir. If you can see the water level it's fine.

Squeeze the hose and the coolant will move. If you are a little above the max it will be fine. You need to look into the reservoir from an angle.

Or just do what I said when you flush the system out just put the correct amount back in.... Simple
