The key remote that is used to open the doors is not working. Even the red light in the button stopped flashing or lighting. I replaced the battery, but no hope.

I just like opening the doors using the remote!.

Car is 2000 model, 1.4 8v.

What could the problem be?

Thanks.

If you replaced the fob battery and the fob light still isn't working then you either
put in a bad battery ( check voltage)
inserted the battery incorrectly or it's not making contact ( try again)
fob button is bad- check it out
or the fob circuit board is bad

No problem with the car. The problem is in the key! opening and closing the door with the button is no longer working.

I know how to re programme, but it didn't work.

The red led is not even flashing or making an indication that the key is working.

I tried new battery, I checked the button, I even tried to push directly through the internal button.

Sounds the board then.

But the key was working. I just wanted to change the battery because the distance were becomming bad. After I changed the battery, nothing is working. I tried with the old battery, nothing too!.

2 options then

1) battery is in wrong, or is already dead, Most probably..
2) board is bust and you need another one which isnt cheap!!
