As title says.
Changed the speakers from factory fitted to brand spankers, and 2 days later the Engine Management Light has come on.
As the original wiring that hooked into the factory speakers had a special plug on the end of them, I had to order up a set of adaptor cables so I could plug the new speakers in. They work fine. No problems. No shorting that I can see as everything is contained in the plastic surround in the door, so can't imagine they're grounding out on anything.
Does the speaker loom get back to the ECU at all that would cause this light to come on, or just co-incidence?
Thanks.
Guv.

Its a Peugeot..its probably nothing to do with the wiring.
Try getting the codes read, there's probably tonnes of codes stored on the ECU.
