My girlfriends just passed her test so I'm buying her a car as a surprise but can't decide.
She wants a black convertible. My limit is upto £4000 and thats pushing it.
So its out of :
206cc 54 reg, 47,276 miles, 1.6L - £1795
I will be changing a few parts if I decide on this one
or
Mini Cooper, 54 reg, 89,000 miles, 1.6L - £3990
(was originally up for £5790)
Obviously there's a massive price increase on the mini and higher milage so I'm edging towards the 206 but if I get that. She'll want the mini
I'm bamboozled!!!

The whole Mini is a rubbish drive & long term ownership prospect
Id rather have a 206 then a Mini & thats saying something as the 206 isnt exactly a great small car

Crap engine choice
Just look at the bastardation of it

the ride feel like my bilstein B8+eibach prokit with 22mm torsion bars.
so it is more towards sporty end. But again the car is pretty slow

f*****g hell, buying her a car?! f*** that
All i can comment on is the mini's engine is utter s**te for reliability, along with the gearbox and a few other items. The peugeot, well is a peugeot but is cheap to fix.
And remember, soft top over a hard top, what is more likely to leak?
