Hey all,
Need your opinion on a couple of issues with the car at the moment.
Firstly the engine tone sounds quite "throaty" almost like a slightly blowing exhaust but I have only recently had the entire system replaced and have since had it checked to see if it was the cause but it seems it's not blowing, so this only leaves the engine as the culprit. It's certainly not incredibly loud but very much noticeable, also I find that if I rev the engine while in neutral there will be a few pops like it's back firing. It's been suggested it could be a mixture issue but wanted to get an opinion before I take it into the garage, see if it's maybe a common issue?
Second problem is that I'm getting a slight squeal from I assume the wheels when pulling away at low speed, once I get past 15/20mph it goes away so I don't think anything is rubbing.
Thanks in advance!
Russ

Check the inlet manifold / air intake pipes, also if its a cheap non genuine exhaust than can give the Tone of blowing even when there not, I have that problem atm.

It was fitted by Kwik Fit so it certainly wasn't cheap but that doesn't mean it isn't quality wise
Thanks

Aux belt at a guess, changed mine a few months ago, sqeel when stationary, slight exhaust blowing noise, changed belt and sorted, worth a stab.
