Why didn't you ask the garage when you took it in?

Gearbox seals should ALWAYS be replaced on a driveshaft removal, they are one time only fit items
CV boots roughly take hour or so per one, book time is less but its bloody messy job

Have u seen the new cv boot fitting tool selling on good tool/parts sites?they elinate the full removal of the messy cvjoint part of the shafts as they still require removal of track rods.steering arms.anti roll bars amd the drive shaft is still pulled from the suspension and hub/brakes ...then u take the tool and stretch the supplied boot over the tool which in turn is threaded over the cv joint and shaft having cut away the old boot
..then the new boot is slid from the tool and is now on the drive shaft ready to be placed and tied into its finished position ovet the cv joint as if normal
...ive seen 3,2 expensive at £130ish and a budget one at £14 or less but im not sure if u need a specialy stretchy cv boot?
