Saw videos of decatted 1.4hdi's and liked the sound of it especially with the nice whistle from the turbo. What do i need to do and at roughly what cost

£30 at a garage should sort it, best if you can go to an exhaust specialist as well

Average around £20 - £30 depending what's left it isn't that big on a 1.4

So yes could almost do it for free essentially

I live beside a peugeot breaker and also a garage so il ask what the breaker will give me for th cat and tell the garage owner. is there any disadvantages of decatting?

de-catted mine, made no performance difference. sounds a little bit better but no need really.

I just took the cat off made a little jig and welded a pipe in its place, any one with a welder can do it.
I cant put the pictures up of how i did mine if you want.

Cats on these are worth about £20
