I can understage the stage 3 thing if referring to a tuners package. I do hate it when people refer to stuff like stage 3 heads etc. It means f*** all and only people who know nothing use such descriptions.

I sit at roughly that due to the speed, but i still manage utter s**te fuel economy. Just an impreza for you i guess

That's what I was saying full stage 3 Dreamscience there the tuner an I have there stage 3 package plus a few more bits the engine block its self is standard internal wise but there good for 350bhp if you go above this with a hybrid turbo u need the block mod with has thicker liners to avoid cracking and burton valves springs and oil seals.

MY Sig has the full list off mods if u want to know but stage 3 is easier to write and saves u reading a load of pointless info that wont interest most people.

I used to struggle with bad mpg but since having the 440cc multi hole injectors fitted and live mod x map i have more power and torque and better mpg.

If your trying to make me out a liar.

This was a trip from my house to Leeds were I was between 70-80 on motorways and 30-40 off the motorway roads. Ok seen as tho were being smart it was 41.2mpg not 42mpg and it was 47.6 miles not 50 miles.

Glad I'm not the only one who hates stage this and that!

Tuner packages are an exception as you have to accept that but if it was mine I'd still list the mods in my description that make up stage 3 ect.

Nick how the hell did you manage that sort of MPG my old 300 Bhp ST struggled to get over 30... although I suppose I never did try to get MPG out of a performance car lol... nailed it very often Smile

As for OP... it's no different to any other car really...

N/a cars...

Exhaust
Induction OR go ITBS
Headwork
Cams
Map

Same with all Turbo

Bigger turbo
Induction
better internals
Upgrade IC
Upgrade injectors ect
Exhaust
Map

Same with all S/C

Bigger SC
Induction
Reduced pulleys
better internals
Upgrade IC
Upgrade injectors ect
Exhaust
Map

Same s**t for all cars really bar obviously you go more in-depth.

It's basically the new mod x map from Dreamscience which is a generic map but mine has been tweaked to run the bigger injectors as the standard injectors wasn't coping and I can achieve this mpg quite easily with smooth driving don't get be wrong when I give it the beans it can drop down to about 14mpg.

Not a liar, but even a quick bit of research will tell you that a car is at least 20% more efficient at 55mph than 80mph, so that would mean your car easily achieving nearly 50mpg at 55 which to say the least is a little bit hard to believe.

That might be true but this is the best I have managed and with it being a 2.5 turbo with over 300bhp I'm quite impressed with it my old 180 would never get near that sort of mpg.

The point I was trying to make to the op is the mods won't affect your fuel that much your driving style will be a much bigger factor.

That picture proves nothing.
We cant see the revs and it gives no proof as to your speeds or distances...it only proves that at sum point your car achieved an avetage consumption of 41.2mpg....i could run mine down a hill and claim 254mpgs...
If you had managed to achieve the impossible you would have people beating a path to your door to buy your secret...
Its not possible to gain big increases in bhp without sacrificing mpg...you dont get nothing for nothing..especialy these days where the manufacturers are forced to squeeze every poimt of mpg and economy without losing bhp too much and staying green at the same time..
They spend billions in search of this mpg/bhp holy grail but there's omly so much that can be achieved without costing heavily in one way or the other...sad but true..
and getting back to op the best things to do for modest bhp gain are the obdvious if its not going to cost you in mpg...
lighten the car
Run low profile tyres that are at correct pressure always
Give your car a real good service using a sports replacement air filter that matches the original...a panel k&n on mine fitted into the original plastic housing ...fit the best spark plugs poss.best oil poss.a good polish of the paintwork.and a good petrol treatment and try using nom supermarket petrol filled up in the morning. Amd try running the rcttrme petrol for a while as it offers potential small gains ...it might help to fit a lightweight flywheel.put a quality exhaust system on and lower the suspension..
even a mpg and bhp sensitive remap may show slight increases without losing out on each...

Your welcome to come to my house and I will take you for a drive to show you my car doing this mpg than u will look abit silly and owe my an appology as your info will be proven to be incorrect.

I wouldn't say the car could do it if it was an illusion off some kind Dreamscience is not the only people who have created a map capable off this the Collins performance map has average mpg off 37mpg it would be interesting for you to tune my car then as you seem to more about the hyda and its capabilities or are you just another person following the sheep and stick with your assumption that a modified car is going to eat fuel have you ever driven the code red,Dreamscience,Collins performance demo cars?

You will not achieve this mpg every were it was on a motorway at a consistent speed with smooth driving last nite my average was 18 mpg but I was haveing a play.

And there is no need to bang at my door to buy the secret just go to a specialist tuner who has years of experience in you vehicle instead of buy eBay filters and universal back boxes and expecting to gain 50bhp and not lose mpg you pay good money for quality the map I'm running is the result of 5 years of trail and error that Dreamscience spent on there own st.

I wish people wouldn't be so ignorant with out firstly getting to know what there talking about and the products.
