Hi,

I have been running my 206 2000 1.6 8v GLX with a damaged rocker cover breather pipe. It split basically but just looking for a replacement. Would any breather pipe from a car same age fit? I am looking at a breather pipe from a 2000 1.1 LX. Also would a broken breather pipe cause the engine to run bad?

Thanks!

Simon

I had same problem mine split. I went to the scrappy got as much of the same sort of pipe as possible and pieces it together. Only cost me about 2 or 3 quid.
Everyone should drive hybrids, that way there's more petrol for me!

It's easily done, pretty flimsy pipe. I've taped it up for now, how did you piece it together? Do you think it would cause the engine management light to come on as I've had that but no other problems.......

Just replace it from a scrappy..wont be much.
.and i would say it can activate the engine warning lite as it will be giving the test circuit/sensors a bad reading that should be reset when you fit the new pipe...the warning lite reset is explained on this site.....try the how to forum.
