hi
im thinking about getting my car lowered preferably about 60 mm at the front and 40-50 mm at the rear. would getting 40 at the front make alot of difference in the look?
also wanted to know if anybody knows estimates of how much it would cost for lowering a torsion bar?
also did the 206 ever come with a under tray type thing like a shield under the car where the engine and gearbox is located. wanted to know as if i go over ramps so it will not hit the gearbox as my car does not have the under tray?
if the final question sounds stupid sorry lol not sure how to explain
thanks
mr problems

I think there is a thread with pics of lots of 206'sw lowered at different heights you could search for.
I dont think any Pugs were sold with an under tray but you may be able to get something made, presumably people who rally them use under trays to protect sumps etc.

If you think the gearbox might hit things could the car be too low? A thin plastic undertray isn't going to help. If anything it will make ground clearance even less.

One more quick question. If i lower the front only by 40 mm will it look funny or should it be ok as the back already seems alot lower than the front?

Car should be nose down as standard...not the other way round.

Where do you live? I can do your torsion bar for you, and fit springs. Just visit my website.
I'm also sure your subframe is lower than gearbox and sump, the worst part of lowering a 206 is how low the sills end up.
You'll be fine at 40 or 50mm, i wouldnt go lower as it makes daily driving annoying, but saying that, after a while you become aware of what will hit. I know not to ever park on a curb in my 405, but most speedbumps including the 'wheels go either side of the bump' bumps are fine, you've just gotta know your limits, slow down for obstacles and purchase a 'I love speedbumps' sticker.

Kris has summed it up very well
The cat sits a tiny bit lower than the subframe, I know I've snapped it off twice now
