That hard to do then, can you not take hub off and then knock them out with a socket of same outer size.

£80 peugeot charged , which tbh isnt tht bad.
your choice, just voicing what happened to me

A brand new hub £40? Last time I looked they were like £200 from peugeot then a genuine peugeot bearing was £98.
but you can get a 2nd hand hub from a scrappy for about £40? But there's no telling what the life it's had, side impact ect
When I had my bearing done for £40 (that inckuded tge bearing)I got a peugeot replacement one 'motor quip' £20 and had a local garage press the old one out and the new one back in £20 then fitted the hub back on my self.

Yes. but what you need to ask is does it come with one already fitted if not you'll have to get one and get a garage to press it in.

Ok many thanks. Can you not bang one in using a socket the same outer size of bearing, thats how i have always done bearings on my bike and maybe little heat if very tight.

No. As you could crack the inner race and the bearing would go again in a couple of miles just pay a garage to press it in they'll only charge you about £10-£15

I've never had a problem hammering in a wheel bearing. I always use the old shell as the drift as I know it's the same size as the new bearing, so it won't damage the race.
Pressing it out and in is easier, but if you don't have access to a press then the hammer and drift method does fine. Garages used this method for years before presses came common place.

I bet they did not replace track rod end bolt, lower suspension arm balljoint clamp bolt and nut, brake caliper mounting bolts, driveshaft nut. All should be replaced once undone, i would rather do it myself clean everything and do the job like it should be done.
Dont see the point in spending garage prices on a old car, and you feel much better when you do all the work yourself, thats why these forums are so good for us home diy oil monkeys.
