I'll try and get some pics up, but let's just say for now that it won't t-cut out ... Crying or Very sad

Anyway, our 1.4 Hdi Style needs a new bumper (and a few other bits) and I was wondering if I could fit one with a bigger grill and fog lights but still retain the non-sport wings (ie not flared like Gti or CC).

I probably will have to replace one wing but I didn't want to do both unless the bumper idea is a no-go ...

thanks guys!

And if anyone has said bumper, pm me ... unlikely to be able to collect it though .. the only car it would fit in is the 206 ... and that's not really drivable at the moment!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Well you can fit a sport bumper on the standard wings, but if one wing is damaged, and need to be replaced, then i think you better replace both :),but you need sport wheel liner when you fit a new sport bumper :),but trust me to say it worth having it ,with the bigger grill and fog lights,it makes the car looks great Very Happy

I'll strip her down first and see what else I need ... but it's an option I guess.

Well not stripped down but to my surprise bonnet opened without a fuss!! The slam panel looks straight.

The o/s wing actually isn't too bad. Might need repositioning, but where I thought it was bent, it may have been the illusion caused by the bonnet peaking up! Might need a tap with the panel beating set.

Behind the bumper the big plastic support is badly smashed up, so I've already got one of those. THe two mounting bolts in the up-rights are pushed down, but should weld back into place (note to self: find a mobile welding man!). Bumper might be OK ... the fittings to the wings are pulled out but the bottom edges not twisted or torn. The o/s headlight is fit for the bin and it's broken the mounting tab on the n/s but that might be repairable.

So at the moment a new bonnet and possibly a bumper ... but I'm sticking with the narrow type as I don't think it's worth the expense of two new wings when I don't need them. I will get a nicer grill to fit in and if it has to be replaced, holes for fogs.

The upper grill and the badge support are gone, but I have some new bits in the garage when I ordered a new one and got sent two!

OK question:

Behind the upper grill is a loose connector. It's brown, and fed with two wires: one green, one yellow. Not the horn connector as that one is white. Wondered if it could be an alarm of something to do with a/c (not that my Style has either!).

What is it for? Doesn't seem to fit in anything ... but it could be what it needs to go on got lost in the prang.

Doesn't your air filter suck up all the crap that comes under the arches. A friend of mine took his out, underneath was full of mud and leaves etc.
