I know the stubby aerial has been covered quite a bit in the past but I can't find what I'm looking for and getting very frustrated.

I bought a stubby aerial off another member and went to fit it today. I managed to unscrew the old one but the end of the stubby is thinner than the original so doesn't fit in the hole as it should. So I removed the interior light and surround (front mounted aerial I should mention) to try to unscrew the base but all I am faced with is a circular silver box with the wire connecting to somewhere underneath it and no obvious way to detach it. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Unclip that silver thing to get access to the nut securing the aerial base.
