Highlight the fault and press enter again on that screen and see what it throws up. Sometimes you get an explanation of the fault.

That might be a simple bad connection at the passenger airbag deactivation switch or switch not fully turned

two other switches have been tried, still the same.
i got told, it maybe the passenger seatbelt tentioner, and i could bypass it simply joining the two wires that go to the seatbelt, anyone know if this is true, or would it set the airbag off?

Has anyone got a wiring diagramme for the airbags on a multiplex 2003 hdi?

thanks for all replies

That's some very jumbled advice and none of it true. The seat belt pretensioner is on a different circuit to the airbag and PP isn't saying anything wrong with pretensioners. Shorting out the seatbelt sensor just stops it knowing whether the seat belt is in use of not

Models vary depending what airbags you have fitted but here's the base airbag circuit that may give you some ideas

6569 pass disable switch
6564 pass airbag
C001 diag port

Cool, thanks for that.
where could i get the one for my model 206?
ive just tried pug service box, but they have changed it all now, so no public can use it.
i only have two air bags in the car.

does it narrow it down to a certain area knowing that the needles on the clocks all flicker when starting the car, but only when the airbag fault light comes on at same time.
when the needles dont flicker, the fault does not come up!
thanks for all replies

If you don't have side airbags then just neglect the bottom part of the wiring diagram up to pins 3 and 4 of the dash warning 0004

CT00 is driver's airbag clockspring
6570 is airbag ECU

With the greatest of respect and with your safety highest in mind, your knowledge of airbag systems and wiring diagrams isn't good enough for you to try to trace faults in this system on your own. There's a lot you need to know before you can safely work on these explosive systems so take it to a professional or someone who fully understands airbag systems is my advice.

hahah your right i know nothing about wiring diagrams and airbags systems, so im not looking forward to doing this. But needs must. i have to get this car up to scratch to sell it, its only worth a few hundred quid, so im not gonna spend a few hundred quid sorting out the airbag issue.

once i know where wires are meant to go, i'll follow each one and make sure there's no loose connections and such
