Hi just wondering if anyone can help and give me some advice.

My annoyingly temperamental indicators seem to just stop working half way through being turned on, which can be dangerous (and i've had some dodgy looks for not indicating when i actually am!).. Also my lights seem to flick on and off like they've got a mind of their own, which i wouldn't care about apart from sometimes people think im flashing and i'm not! Sad

I also don't know if the car is pre-plex or multi-plex, it is a 2003 model with the radio stork/radio controls stork. Im guessing this could be easy or an expensive job.

Can anyone please help?? Thank you! Very Happy

willing to stake a quid that its the stalk. mine, and many others did/do this. shavings from metal contact inside the stalk cause it to switch to high beam. when indicating right usually? i think at 2003 you have the sealed type stalk which means removing airbag etc so not an easy at-home job unless you know what you're doing. if you have the sidelights on do they work fine?

onYeah it goes to high beam, usually indicating left for me but does it to the right also, or even when im not indicating and just on a straight road the lights come on and off themselves. It's just very temperamental. I have noticed it doesn't do it when i've got the sidelights on. I thought myself it might be something to do with the stork with the indicator problems too but i wasn't sure.

Com 2000 unit wants replacing, buy a NEW one, 2nd hand / used ones are not worth the hassle.

Well it seems to solve the problem with putting my sidelights on lol, sounds a cheap and cheerful solution!
