not sure if i have posted this right as don't come on here a lot but here goes...

My pug 206 has been having problems starting , the starting motor is running but the car does not turn over, it starts eventually after about 6 attempts but after it has started it revs at 2000 and sometimes whilst driving the car can even cut out because the revs suddenly go low.
Also I checked the water yesterday and there's light brown sludge at the top, i don't think its oil only because I cannot see a rainbow effect in the water but it could be.

I'm a girl and no good with cars so any info on this would help , i will eventually getting into a garage when i've the money to get it sorted,
thanks in advance x
Smile

Well to fix the starting problem, take a look a this link,it will show you how to fix it

www.206info.co.uk/Foru...46523.html

and about the coolant color, check your engine oil,and see it's color,if it's creamy color, then you have coolant mixed with engine oil, which means a head gasket job,if all is well, and the oil color is normal, then i recommend that you do a coolant flush, and refill it with antifreeze ,and this way things will get better for u,if you need any help ,let me know, good luck.
