Hiya Peeps,
As with any suspension/bearing purchase, the decision to go OEM or aftermarket is always one that draws a line in the sand. Although its always preferred to go with OEM if you have the cash, these are desperate times.
My current predicament is that I'm after some new wishbones and top mount bearings/mounts.
Peugeot quoted me around £60 a side for the top mount kit and around £110 a side for wishbones.
Sometimes, OEM parts are branded parts anyway, ones that could be sourced elsewhere if we knew what they were at the start.
Now looking at eurocarparts and gsfcarparts (Who don't specify their makes) reveal different makes, like Lemforder, G-Drive and Ocap.
Now its a thread to ask if anyone have used these parts, and what they think of them, giving us lot a name to trust in for wearability and longevity.
Ford have fordpartsuk, vauxhall have numerous suppliers, wheres the specialist suppliers for french cars? And if so, are they any good?
Cue a massive thread on parts you bought, and whether they lasted or not.

I've used Neat Car Parts for a few things and stuffs always arrived in Peugeot packaging and was a lot cheaper than dealers.
Another method is search ebay for "Original" parts. There are some places that clear out the old garages and sell the stock dirt cheap. You can get some good bargains on OEM parts if you search properly.

I'd take the big name stuff from Euro Car Parts any day. Nothing wrong with them and just as good as what the Peugeot dealer sells.
If you took your car for a service do you really think they only use Peugeot branded parts? They'll often buy what's cheaper and easiest to source.

I was just after what people have used, where they sourced it from and how its been since.
The 'big name stuff' from Euro Car Parts are as expensive as Pug parts, with the wishbones on ECP (Make: Lemforder) being more expensive then Pug!

Personally from experience with some cheaper alternatives and the opposite,i would say either Meyle HD's or go back to pug and just ask the question. my local dealership ALWAYS knocks the price down without even trying. when i needed arms they went from 100 to 80 each straight off. Ebay is ya friend for lemforder/meyle's (4 yr warranty on the latter)
