I have a 1.4 auto pug.
I'm driving home with my girlfriend the other night and all off a sudden a noise started in my engine sounding like a belt flapping? car lost power and went down to around 2k revs and couldn't get over 20mph? after around 100m the car just cut out..

I had to be towed home Surprised

I checked fan belt and cam belt... both fine!?

now the car wont fire up.. car is sparking but nothing is happening.. is this blown injectors?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

James

Belt could still feel tight if it has slipped!

Turn the engine by hand and line up the timing marks! That will tell you for sure if it has slipped! Smile
