Alright guys,

Just worked out that my 1.1 206 is getting around 27.5 - 30MPG, that seems pretty pants for such a small engine, and I've got a black box so I don't really speed, whats you guys average miles per gallon? So I can get an idea if there's something wrong.

Cheers,

Paddy!

The TU1 engine is known to give poor mpg in the 206 due to the fact your asking a 1.1 lump with 60 bhp originally designed back in the mid 1980's to lug nearly a ton of weight around.

310 miles to my last tank, but that is a lot of short stop start driving as our area is terrible for cars being parked in the road and temporary traffic lights. Though when I filled up from empty line and filled it right to the top, it only filled up 45 litres when its a 50 litre tank.

Have a look on fuelly and compare your engine to the ones listed on there.

1.4 16v about 380 to 400 miles to a tank mixed driving.

Serviced regularly. Power flow exhaust and K&N panel filter. Don't know what if any difference they make?

Paddy that's what I get out of my 1.1, probably due to short journeys, and I have a black box too !!

MY 1.4 8v petrol was only getting 30mpg average, new exhaust complete with cat, 2 new lambda sensors, 4 new injectors, new headgasket and head ported to gaskeks. Now my average is 40 mpg. Very Happy
