Whenever I start the engine the air bag fault light comes on. I think its just the drivers side as it doesn't mention the passenger side.
I removed the steering rack to do some work the other day so I had to loosen the subframe and drop it an inch.
Was wondering if I could have stretched anything doing g the subframe or if it is more than likely I unclipped something by accident when I undid the u.j in the steering column at the bottom?
Any thoughts or anyone with a code reader to pin point it local?
Cheers

Was the steering set straight ahead & then the key removed so the steering lock was on?
Was the rack refitted in the straight ahead position without moving the steering wheel?
I get the feeling you may have broke the rotary spool behind the wheel while working on the steering system, they can only turn so far each way before snapping.

Ahh right bugger. Probably that. Other cars I've worked on automatically stop after so many turns.
Do you know if these parts are interchangeable? I.e go scrappy get one and then change it with mine?
Simply steering wheel off Jobbie ain't it
