Im starting to consider putting a 1.9DT engine from a 306 into my 206. Currently its a 1.4 hdi and basically what i want to know is if this can all be achieved for £700. And how hard is this task. Would i need a new gearbox, driveshafts, hubs and brakes?

Its been done before a couple of times.
Its easier to just go & find a 206 HDI 2.0 & save yourself the hassle.

I thought about the 2.0 but the 1.9 is cheaper to modify and like 150bhp can be achieved cheaper than it would with a 2.0

Or for something more amusing anybody done a 2.2HDi transplant or even the 2.7 V6 HDi, sureley if you can get the 3 litre V6 in there the 2.7 should go.

I want to keep it Diesel because a petrol swap would cost far too much. But yeah whats this i hear about a 2.7 V6 HDi, I like the sound of that!

Petrol V6 is difficult enough to fit so a diesel V6 with the turbo and piping would make life hard.
