When I had my powerflow fitted I was asked how loud I wanted it . I went for the quietest and that is loud enough , you need to shout to person at the side of you if giving it gas . I tend to lift off if talking as the drone is too much to talk over most of the time .
You find that they also get louder over time as they soot up .

I am in the same position! Lol. I have the quietest power flow and when booting it it roars! If you can find the sweet spot (just under 60mph) you can cruise without it droning.
Love it though! Sounds great in town. Got a nice pop and rumble on idle too.
