I have a 206 2 litre turbo diesel on a x plate. I have developed a soft brake pedal. i went to my garage and adjusted the handbrake and it brought the brake pedal back up it was quite firm. But after the trip i took over the weekend in which i covered 333 miles it's going soft again and the handbrake is still as it was after the adjustment.

Now my first thought is master cylinder as Brake fluid hasn't dropped to indicate a leak anywhere. anyone else have any ideas.

Brakes are good but just got a soft pedal compared to when it was adjusted.

I would go with your reasons above, but as you have had the handbrake adjusted it could also be a worn cable? I had this on my Astra. Kept adjusting the HB cable but in the end it needed replacing.
