My boss just put petrol in his diesel car. Could i use this petrol in my car is a round 80% minimum mix with diesel? cheers

Why risk it? I know petrols expensive but still.

Petrol in a diesel is not a problem but don't run a petrol with diesel. Someone I know has a little suzuki 1.3 van and the diesel was forced past the piston rings into the engine. He only noticed when it lost loads of power. There was double the amount of diesel in the engine as there was engine oil.

Years ago truck drivers had an old trick of adding 1 litre of petrol per 50 lites of diesel to help with cold starting in winter and even that can cause premature engine wear. Putting diesel in a petrol engine? Honestly mate, I really wouldn't. At best it'll run like crap, at worst it'll be an expensive fix.
