I work in the tyre trade, a guy i know has a 206 euro in his shed, been there for the past 6 years, he is going to sell it, it has a body kit, the wheels on it at the min has 205/40r17 tyres on at the min, he has spacers on the current wheels too, im not to sure what width the wheels are on at the min but i would say they are around 6 - 7 inches, can anyone recommend what wheel size to put on to make it look a bit in proportion plus what price do these range from? the guy is a sprayer for a living so its in mint condition plus the engine has low mileage etc
any help would be appreciated thanks
here are pics
ps the designs on the front and back arent my cup of tea either lol

Well it has the European front and rear bumper the longer type ones, if you look on this forum and checkout the different types of 206, i didnt mean euro look with the stupid wide wheels with tyres hanging on for their life, don't think spacers would cut it he wants wider wheels

Have a look at what off set the wheels are.
Then take the width of the spacer of the number and that will give you an off set number they are at the moment.
Measure how much further you want the wheels to stick out and take that number off.
That will give you the off set that those wheels would need to be,
So........
If the wheels are ET40 with 20mm spacers your wheels are at ET20.
Then if you want them 20mm further out take that off so you end up with ET0 (Very rare)
If they are 7" wide (Which they probably are) by going up to 9" wide you will move the edge of the rim an inch closer to the arch (And an inch closer to the inner arch.

Ah right no worries he will be better going for spacers then, only thing is he already has the biggest ones on at the min, il tell him tomorrow not to be spending to much money on the car as it's not a special edition it only has a body kit on it etc, he spent alot of money getting the engine sorted too, personally I'm not into body kits etc as i am 31 to old for all that carry on lol I don't even own a 206 any more I just came on here to get some advice from you guys, thanks

spoke to him earlier, the car is a gran turismo, the alloys are stamped ET16 on the back, he said the spacers he has are about an inch wide. they arent on the vehicle in these photos, he said the front wheels arent to bad with the spacers on but the rears arent flush, an inch would be around 25mm so would i say 40mm spacer on the rear?
