Hi all first post so take it easy on me I have a 206 GTI SP and the clock/radio desplay went I tried to open it up have a general nose around when I pulled the ribbon out now heres the thing the clock in there is a 4 bulb but would a three bulb clock work cause as far as I can see they are the same apart from the number of bulbs???

in a word no, 4 bulb is the ppt-30 for the pre-plex and the 3 bulb is the ppt-40 and is muti-plex.
its a common problem for the display to play up on the ppt-30, you can DIY fit it, there is a guild somewhere on this forum
