As stated whats the best oil to use in my 1.6 16v xsi as i plan on dropping the oil out and changing the filters soon. Sometimes at present the car is making a slight ticking (tappety) noise on cold morning start ups then fine once warm so im hoping a decent oil replacement will solve this.

Well it's what Peugeot recommend.

You need to use Total Quartz 5W/30 Synthetic
You will need 3,0 Liters with filter changed.

Castral edge is very good I use that in mine. Seemed to run cooler on scan gauge as well.

I've got the 2.0 Hdi and use Mobil 1 turbo diesel ... Seems pretty good to me.
