Hey,

Basically currently I have a speedo which is exactly the same as this one:

I was wondering if it is at all possible to upgrade to one with a rev counter at all, and if not, how could I go about getting a rev counter?

Like this one?:

Cheers.

guessing you have a 1.1 from your signature.

I have the same top dash at the moment on my 1.9TD. looking to change to a rev counter'd dash. When changing the engine i noticed that i in fact had the Rev gauge sensor already in the block and it was plugged into the loom.

This maybe the case with yours, so i would get and have a look where your 1.1 picks up the revs and see if you have the sensor/loom for it too.

Not 100% sure where a 1.1 would pick it up from exactly but would definitely be around the flywheel area.

A petrol 206 will get the rev counter signal from the engine ecu.

I assume the plugs are different then for the different models of Speedo?

Plugs are pretty much standard as long as its the correct type for the electrical system in question, it may / may not work.

Rev counter will most likely work, see if you can borrow a cluster to try first.

I was reading somewhere that if you get one with lower mileage it automatically updates itself to the higher one? Or it just just multiplex? Damn it Sad Anyway to clone the information to the "new" cluster?

Only on a multiplexed 206.

You can swop a part from the old cluster to the new cluster on a non plexed to keep the mileage BUT ive never done it so have no more info.

Eh, I'll just try and get one with close milage, I'll just keep a note of the difference.

Don't suppose you know how many different types of plugs there are? Just want to try and narrow some choices down, Some are saying one plug, some are saying two.

Looking at this one, The same as what I have currently, just with the Rev Counter.
