Right mot is due on the 20th so need to sort the car.
First off I have a light saying abs problem, I think the problem is the sensor in the p.s drum, I changed the brakes all round and this drum had worn through the lining and into the metal. So the abs sensor was covered in metal filings. I cleaned as much of the filings off as I could but the fault says is still there. All rings are fine I'm sure. Will the error stay if there is the smallest amount of metal left on the sensor? Or do I need to clear the fault codes?
Secondly, anti pollution fault flashes up all the time due to me forgetting to remount the exhaust on the bushes doh. So does anyone know the dimensions of the flexi piece of the exhaust before the cat.
Car is an 02 2.0hdi.
Thanks
In advance

The fault with the ABS will need to be cleared with a diagnostic machine.

Will the sensor say a fault again if for example there is the smallest amount of metal left on? When I cleaned it I couldn't see the sensor from the amount of filings on it!

You'd gave to see, check the faults would be the best way to diagnose the fault.

I know for certain that abs problem is due to the sensor originally being covered in metal fillings, however I thought it may clear itself if I cleaned them may try clean them again of not I'll sort the codes.

Youve been given the advice you asked for and completely ignored it...
Say no more.

I haven't ignored it. I understand I need to get the codes cleared but I don't want to clear them and pay £30? For them to say there are still filings on and have to pay another £30 after.
I asked a second question of what happens if the abs sensor has a small amount of metal on it? Will it throw the code up again. Does the sensor need to be spotless.
Thanks for your comment anyway

When I had an abs problem the light cleared as soon as the problem was fixed. In one case a new ring, another time a new sensor... never had the codes cleared, never had the light come back..

Both ABS & airbag systems on the 206 will self clear the warning light once the faults are fixed.

I don't understand how people on here get quotes of £30 plus for peugeot planet code readings.
I have 3 garages within 3 miles of me that charge just a tenner,
If an ABS light on dash came on say, they would scan it and say what the fault is, job done £10, am i fortunate or are people getting ripped off.
