I have a Peugeot 206 1.9 hdi
There is no problem starting the car and revving all sounds healthy.
But when you put it into first gear and rev it pas 3000revs the engine cuts off.
And trying to restart the car fails. But if I were to go the fuel bleed valve and bleed some fuel out of it, it starts immediately.
If I don’t do this it takes about 5 minutes before the cars starts
Can someone clarify if there is a timeout value for the ecu before it lets you restart the car?
If so why does it start when I bleed the fuel?
Most of the time I do not get any fault indication
But occasionally I see “anti pollution fault”
This fault seems to occur under high load and high rev, like going up a flyover in third, or overtaking in second gear.
I am thinking air in the fuel line, but it looks like the ecu is shutting the engine.
Can someone offer any advice?
Thanks
