Wondering if someone nice enough can tell me exactly what parts I need to purchase in order to have all the equipment ready for a bolt on turbo I.e. all I need then is someone to put it all together.

Okay so a garratt turbo (either the 28 or the 30 would be enough I think)
Upgraded injectors?
Turbo manifold
Some sort of hoses I believe, clips and other bits and bobs
Obviously an ECU and rolling road mapping

Etc...

Not sure if I'd need forged pistons and rods as I'm only looking for an output of between 280 and 320 but someone can advise?

But I really need someone to tell me exactly what parts I need, without missing anything essential.

I've been changing my mind like the wind blows but clearly the cheapest way forward is to source the parts myself then just pay the right experienced guy for fitting when I'm ready.

I really want to go through with this but it's stupid if I don't even know what to buy. Looking at the build of project cars doesn't tell much, some parts are arguably not needed and often a bespoke version provided by that Motorsport dealer I.e their own product. So I just need a simple but effective list

Thank you

Your gonna need to lower the compression ratio whatever you do so the head's gotta come off even if it's just to fit a decompression plate. But if your going to do it, may as well do it properly and get forged pistons etc in there.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

I'm going down this route with my gti and I would so forged low compression pistons is a must.

I also agree with DP engineering being very good. The manifold foe the gti comes to around £1000 with the add on parts.

Thanks for the replies guys

The only thing which puts me off forged pistons is that if I ever want to upgrade to higher boost, low compression pistons will be useless as I will require higher compression? Unless that's wrong.

So, I've got the Garrett GT28R turbo and the EW turbo manifold with the additional extras in the basket so far and including VAT it's 2,200 euros which is probably around £1,800 maybe?

I still need a list of other essential parts for the build, what else do I need to purchase in order to get this up and running?

Next things I think I need are injectors and an intercooler but if so which ones? What about hoses/seals/wiring y'no all the niggly stuff to connect it all?

A complete stock engine (with only a decompression package to lower the cr-ratio) can reliably make around 290 - 300 hp on 0.7 bar of boost pressure. This is the most economic power to investment performance level.

If you live outside the EU, you can order our parts without Dutch VAT (19%).

Besides the parts above you will also need a programmable standalone engine management system (or custom ecu remap) and a stronger clutch (we have several options available) along with some misc. small parts (small water hose modifications).

As with everything, the further you want to stretch the power output of the engine the more modifications need to be made. If you have different power requirements please inform about the possibilities and parts required.

The parts above are meant to be used with the stick and rod gear change mechanism of the 206 GTi, not the cable shift from the RC. It is however possible to retain the cable shift mechanism, but some modifications are needed. However we suggest swapping to the stick and rod mechanism since this system can be easily swapped and is more reliable to use. (parts can be bought new from us or any Peugeot / Citroen dealer for 182,- euro excl. VAT)

Of course it is also possible to have a complete conversion performed by us in our workshop, again inform about prices.

If you have any other questions about the parts or you want to order something, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Pieter Oonincx
