Pre plex or multi? If its pre then you need another cluster or if you are DIY, you can replace the motor. You can even switch the motor from the rev counter to the speedo if its critical.

my speedo motor is also screwed, every time i shut the door it would jump 5 mph backwards. before long i was doing 130mph while parked at work....

I simply glued my own pin to the face of the speedo. stops it jumping backwards and its still within its 10% tolerance.

unless yours doesn't move at all?

So, this is for a pre-plex. Are you a DIY'er? If so, take the cluster apart, beware of the ribbon to little lcd, it is fragile. Take the motors out, it will be like this.

You can then see it apart. Now as to why PSA decided to make the shafts out of plastic is a mystery! You will see the green part in the pic, there will be a broken plastic part (shaft, you can clearly see the broken one) which was supposed to be in the other plastic housing to the right. You can take it out. Take a piece of metal the same size as it, heat it on your gas oven till it is red hot and make it go in the clear plastic housing so it replaces the plastic shaft. Glue the shaft into position so that it doesn't move and put everything back together.

Assuming you re assembled everything good the first time, it should work. Did it on mine.

Its simple, don't close the cluster (outer black plastic part which has the plastic screen at which you look through) and take off the dial needles and adjust accordingly (it may be off the first time). Pretty obvious once you'll get to see it. Good luck!

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere - but came across this on youtube the other day. it is for a left hand drive 206 - but all the parts etc are the same. Might help a little.
