So my aux belt snapped a few months ago and I had it replaced. It was still squeaking for a while afterwards though. I had my Cambelt replaced last month and the mechanic told my the aux belt was on it's way out as well.
Driving on Saturday it happened again. I stopped and had a look at it - the belt has snapped almost half the way across and cut itself off. It still drives everything fine, but I've turned it all off to be sure (bit of movement at the bottom though)
I've ordered a new belt in the meantime - but as the last belt was only a few months old, can I assume this points towards the tensioners & pulleys needing replaced? Or did I just get a cheap belt and get really unlucky?

I think someone needs to have a close look at this. Sorry if you don't think that this helpful but, if you are inexperienced, I would even consider asking Peugeot to have a look and fit an Aux belt. That way, if it doesn't last you can take it back and complain.
