It comes up from left of rad has a little black thing on with like a button and another little wire next to it looks like it could only reach bonnet catch area ?

So does it just clip on so the bonnet shuts on little button

138 GTi should have an alarm as standard. The alarm is operated by the tiny button on the catch.
